Colin Kaepernick was born on November 3, 1987, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was a quarterback for the NFL's San Franciso 49ers. On August 14, 2016, Kaepernick initiated a silent protest when he took a knee to protest police brutality during the playing of the national anthem. His protest inspired many others too also protest.
