Description
The type of triggers that cause asthma exacerbations is likely to play a significant role in WEA's pathophysiology. When common allergens are the triggers, there is no reason to believe that the pathophysiology of WEA is different from the pathophysiology of asthma exacerbations in NWRA. It is likely that the pathophysiology resembles that of IIA when triggers include irritant agents.
