The National Council of State Boards (NCSBN) developed the NCLEX, which measures competency in new graduate nursing for licensure.
Alternative question formats that assess the application of clinical judgment and decision-making will be included in the Next Generation NCLEX. The content required for entry-level Registered Nurse practice will continue to be the primary focus of the new question types.
