Description

"Thus said the L-rd of Hosts: In those days, ten men from nations of every tongue will take hold-they will take hold of every Jew by a corner of his cloak and say, "Let us go with you, for we have heard that G-d is with you." Zechariah 8:23More than any other time in history, the people of the nations are grasping for the truth of the Torah. Many are cleaving to G-d through the teachings of Orthodox Judaism. This book is a collection of our stories. The stories in this book are of everyday people from all over the world that have come to the light of the Torah. All of these people are Benei Noach (Noahides) or Converts to Orthodox Judaism. If you are seeking to draw near to the G-d of Israel, you will find these stories as a source of much encouragement. Everyone struggles, and you may be surprised at how similar the struggles are in every corner of the earth.

About the Author

Daniel Dickens grew up as a Baptist Christian in Michigan. In his first year at Liberty University, he became very serious about his faith and devoted himself to studying the Christian Bible and prayer. After praying and reading the Bible for an hour each morning for one year, Daniel felt as if G-d wanted him to live homeless for three weeks. A friend dropped him off under a bridge with only a blanket, Bible, and journal. Daniel opened up to Genesis 1:1 and began reading. Three weeks later he was convinced that the Torah was not done away with. While attaining his degree in Biblical Studies at the largest evangelical university in the world, he was presented with many challenges. Nevertheless, he continued to teach that the Torah was valid as he helped the poor, pastored, and planted churches. Daniel found himself pastoring in a church that grew out of home meetings. Eventually the other leadership couldn't stand hearing Daniel teach about Sabbaths, feasts, and the Torah, even though the church members were practically begging for more Torah. Finally, it culminated in a meeting that ended the church, and all remaining funds were given to charity. Daniel was greatly disappointed by all of this and began searching around for groups that believed in the Christian Bible and the Torah. After several strange and disappointing experiences, he found a very kind and loving Messianic/Hebrew Roots group that met in the county. He became an integral part of that group for years as he continued to learn more and more Torah. Gradually, Daniel found it more difficult to participate in Messianic groups because the learning was not kosher. Those that attempted to communicate kosher Torah learning were hushed, and even told by leadership, "We believe in Yeshua, and if you learn from Mishnah and Talmud, maybe this isn't the place for you." Daniel had similar experience at the other Messianic/Hebrew Roots groups over the years. Eventually he realized that these groups are another sect of Christianity attempting to force the perfect peg of Torah into a deep rooted cross-shaped man-god hole. Through a long process over years of learning and growing, Daniel now identifies as a simple Noahide that desires to know HaShem through the light of the Torah as preserved and taught by Orthodox Judaism. Daniel's desire is to help others on a similar journey to know HaShem, live a righteous life, and have peace in this world through the knowledge of Torah.
