This special edition of "Food Plants of the North American Indians" was written by Elias Yanovsky, a Chemist at the Carbohydrate Research Division of the Bureau of Chemistry and Soils, part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and first published in 1936. This vintage text is a list of plants eaten by Native Americans, including information on geographical location and tribe.
