About the Author

A women's rights advocate, former history teacher, and technology executive, Elaine's passion is writing about little-known but courageous and heroic women and men whose persistence and resilience helped shape history and became trailblazers. She has published memoir and non-fiction short stories about overcoming personal and workplace adversities. She hopes her book about Dusty Roads inspires her readers to be resolute in defending the freedoms and civil rights women seem to be losing in our country today. Elaine is a member of various writers, history, and women's organizations, a former vice-president of the California Writers Club--Redwood Branch, and co-chair of their 2018 Pen to Published Writers Conference. She lives in Sonoma County, California.
