Louise Ravelli is associate professor of communication and journalism in the School of the Arts and Media at the University of New South Wales. She is the author of Museum Texts: Communication Frameworks and is a coauthor of Analysing Academic Writing. Brian Paltridge is professor of TESOL at the University of Sydney. He is the author of Discourse Analysis and a coeditor of The Handbook of English for Specific Purposes. He is an editor emeritus for the journal English for Specific Purposes and a current coeditor of TESOL Quarterly. Sue Starfield is director of the Learning Centre and associate professor in the School of Education at the University of New South Wales. She is a coauthor of Thesis and Dissertation Writing in a Second Language: A Handbook for Supervisors and a coeditor with Brian Paltridge of The Handbook of English for Specific Purposes, as well as a coeditor of the journal English for Specific Purposes.
