She is an American Educational Research Association Fellow, an AERA Division B (Curriculum) Outstanding Lifetime Career awardee, a Division K (Teaching & Teacher Education) Legacy Award winner, and a recipient of the Michael Huberman Award for Contributions to the Understanding the Lives of Teachers.
