Description

JEWISH WEDDING MUSIC: PROCESSIONALS AND RECESSIONALS is a collection of instrumental music scores for the Jewish wedding ceremony. The music has been carefully selected and beautifully arranged to enhance the joy and awe of the Jewish marriage service. The selections reflect a variety of Jewish cultures - Eastern European, Sephardic, contemporary American, and Israeli. The arrangements provide flexibility in the choice of instruments and instrumental combinations: string quartet, piano solo, organ solo, trumpet, violin or flute with piano, and more. Until now, Jewish couples planning their weddings have been limited to music that is secular or comes from other religious traditions. JEWISH WEDDING MUSIC: PROCESSIONALS AND RECESSIONALS is a welcome alternative. All the music in the book is authentically Jewish. Some has never before been published. Other selections are old favorites that have been newly arranged. A valuable resource on its own, JEWISH WEDDING MUSIC: PROCESSIONALS AND RECESSIONALS can also serve as a companion to KOL DODI (Feinsinger; Transcontinental Publishing), a book of vocal scores for Jewish weddings, and to the two-CD set, also called KOL DODI (Feinsinger; Transcontinental Publishing) that contains recordings of pieces in both volumes.
